Acts 1:14 "They all met continually for prayer..."
Luke is describing the early church and he tells us that they continually met for prayer. I can think of a hundred other things they could have been doing during these early days of the Jesus revolution. Their leader had left them, the Romans (and everyone else) wanted them dead. If I was in their shoes I may have been panicking, leaving, arming myself, etc. But they spent time together continually praying.
Do I pray long and hard enough? Do I pray enough with other people? I do love my once a week prayer gathering.
God help me find ways to pray more fervently with others. Amen.
