Genesis 2:18 "And the LORD God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion who will help him.'"
Some animals prefer to be alone. They are solitary and like to keep to themselves. Tigers, giant pandas and Tasmanian devils are all apparently solitary creatures. Humans are not. We were not designed to be alone. When we spend too much time alone we end up with crazy long beards, and make friends with volleyballs! No, God created us to be social beings. We are to live, work, eat, and play with others. It's by design. How have I been a good companion lately? Am I doing life with others well? Do I enjoy being with other people and do they enjoy being with me? Today I will flex my social muscles and hang out and play with my small group!
