1 John 3:18 "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth."
True love is something that we do. True love requires action. And the action, what we do, needs to be done in truth. It needs to be done for the right reasons. It needs to be done with the correct motives. What this means, is if I want to love someone, I need to be willing to serve them, for their benefit and not mine. When love is self seeking or prideful in any way, it ceases to be love. I still may complete a good action, it may even be helpful, but it's not loving unless it's done in truth and with integrity. I pray my love today may be marked by action and done with integrity.
