Deepsea Challenger

Job 28:14 "The deep says, 'It is not in me'; the sea says, 'It is not with me.'"

Job asks the question, "Where does wisdom come from?"  He concludes it can't be found in the depths of the sea, or bought, or found anywhere on earth. 

James Cameron went to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in March in his submarine Deepsea Challenger.  He went nearly seven miles down to the deepest part of the ocean.  He found some interesting animals but did he find the meaning to life?  Did he find wisdom?  Did he find God?  Of course he did not.  In Christ alone we find wisdom, truth, and life.  Today, I need to keep Jesus as my focus.  He needs to be my source of eveything today. 

Dear Jesus, help me rely on you in everything today.  And forgive me for trusting in myself alone.  Amen.
